Technology gone rogue

Evotinction is a third-person hacking and stealth game developed by Spikewave Games. The game replicates the horror aspects of great title classics that it was inspired by while improving on that formula with its storyline, unique gameplay features, and impressive graphics that are sure to be a welcome sight for players.

Inspired by various games like Dead Space, Resident Evil, and Hitman, Evotinction combines all three aspects of these games into one tight-knit but horrific package. Players will have to uncover and solve the mysteries of the AIs that have gone rogue and put a stop to their madness.

Stay quiet to stay alive

In Evotinction, you are a scientist who was thrust into a hellscape where the machines have gone rogue and taken over the facility. The robots that once served you are now wishing to serve your head on a silver platter. Your task is to rescue survivors while you get to the bottom of the root problem to restore order.

The main caveat of this game is that it forces the players to prioritize stealth over reckless violence. Players are dropped into a nightmare where anything, but AI has been decimated, and where anything can happen. Do what you can to avoid any unnecessary encounters, go deep into the heart of the facility to face the core crisis, and most importantly: survive.

The game has been designed to make the players feel like they are trapped. At the same time, the game design has been proven to be speedrunner-friendly. With unique tools at your disposal, you might just have a chance at surviving. Yet, despite its beautiful game design, the boss fights feel so foreign, and the narrative is uninteresting at best.

A solid sci-fi stealth game

Evotinction gives back to the players with its great game design as well as its many ways to tackle the problems that you will face throughout the game, as well as making it speedrunner-friendly. However, some players mentioned encountering bugs that made them restart the game. Overall, this is a solid sci-fi stealth game that's worth trying out if you are into this genre.
